Aiguille du Midì 3842 m. -Aiguille du Plan  3673 m (The ridge)

Geoffrey Winthrop-Young and Josef Knubel initiated this route on 10th August 1907.
Today, it’s the most classical and most used route to reach the summit of Aiguille du Plan, along a ridge of mixed terrain and tracts up to grade IV, allowing a magnificent view of the Aiguille and the valley of Chamonix.

From Chamonix, we go to Aiguille du Midi (3,842 m.) by cable car. After putting on crampons and roping up, we go down the snow-covered crest, which continues eastwards, gently sloping as far as the Plan pass (3475 m.). The ascent to the top of the crest includes aerials, rock canals and parts that require easy rock-climbing.
( 3 hrs. 30 mins.) The way back is usually on the same route.
